Damian Mori sunk the only goal two minutes after half time to give Adelaide City their 15th Cup title since 1953 to secure the double for this season after already clinching the 2007 BEST League, adding to their 2006 double triumph.
Reserves:
Omar Hassan level the scores for Cobras late in the first half, and in the dying minutes substitute Cobras goalkeeper Alex Kalyvas, who came on for Bill Petropoulos who was sent off, nearly sent the match into extra time but his header went just wide of the upright after coming up for a corner for a last ditch effort for his side. |
