City Sides Make the Most of Weather-Interrupted Week

Adelaide City teams battled through a weather-affected week of football, with heavy rain and the condition of playing surfaces resulting in a significant number of fixtures being postponed or rescheduled, particularly across Sunday's junior program.

Despite the disruptions, there was still plenty to celebrate for the Black and Whites. The Women's State League Seniors and Reserves recorded four wins across two matches each, while the Senior Men secured another important NPL victory on Friday night. Several junior sides were also able to take the field, producing some excellent performances and results.

While the weather significantly reduced the number of matches played across the weekend, the teams that were able to take the field produced plenty of highlights. The Under 15 YSL side finished the week with an emphatic 9–0 victory, while the Under 13 YPL and Under 15 YPL both recorded 1–0 wins and the Under 16 YPL secured a 3–2 victory.

Across the senior programs, the WSL Seniors enjoyed a particularly impressive week, scoring 10 goals across victories over Cove FC and South Adelaide without dropping a point, while the Reserves also won both of their fixtures. A 10–2 victory for the NPL Reserves and another important three points for the Senior Men rounded out a productive week despite the considerable weather disruption.
