Adelaide City avenged its disappointing defeat to Sturt Lions earlier in the season with a resounding 4-1 victory at Adelaide City Park on Friday night.
Domenic Costanzo scored twice, while Asad Kasumovic and Daniel Bressan were all on the scoresheet in a dominant performance.

The result extends the Black and Whites unbeaten streak to five matches, while securing successive wins following a 2-1 triumph over rivals West Adelaide.
Costanzo’s brilliant form continued on a chilly evening with his fifth and sixth goals of the season in all competitions.
In the 20th minute, Costanzo profited from Sturt failing to clear a corner and the recycled ball into the box evaded everyone except the 24-year-old, who smash his close-range finish home.
Five minutes later and 1-0 became 2-0 as Costanzo turned provider, dribbling down to byline before clipping a cross into the area for Kasumovic to emphatically volley past the Sturt goalkeeper.
Half-time substitute Jaiden Diamantis pulled a goal back for the Lions upon the re-start of the second stanza, but hopes of a comeback abated via another corner.
This time it was Bressan taking advantage as a glancing header was initially well saved before ricocheting off a defender and into the feet of the midfielder.
In the 72nd minute Costanzo completed his brace and ensured the three points would be staying in Oakden.
A diagonal switch from Nicholas Francese flew over the head of the Sturt defender allowing Costanzo to control and cut inside from the left and unleashed an unstoppable strike.
There would be no chance of an upset this time around with Vas Parhas’ outfit displaying great determination and incisiveness.
City provisionally go into third spot on the RAA National Premier League ladder after 13 games.
