Jung Family Collect Major Prize in Adelaide City's 80th Anniversary Raffle

Adelaide City Football Club is delighted to announce that Gioia Jung has officially taken delivery of the major prize from the Club's 80th Anniversary Raffle — a brand-new Volkswagen Tiguan courtesy of Solitaire Volkswagen, part of the Solitaire Automotive Group.

Gioia and her husband, Fred Jung, were presented with the vehicle this week at Solitaire Volkswagen by Adelaide City President Ange Carrozza and Kate Bates, Head of Marketing at Solitaire Automotive.

In a fitting twist, Gioia purchased the winning ticket on the night of Adelaide City's 80th Anniversary Gala, making the Club's flagship celebration an occasion she will never forget.

The prize presentation marked a fitting conclusion to one of the key fundraising initiatives of Adelaide City's 80th Anniversary celebrations, with the raffle receiving outstanding support from members, supporters, sponsors and the wider football community.

The occasion also carried a special connection to the Club's rich history.

Fred Jung is a former Adelaide City player and a member of the Club's inaugural National Soccer League squad in 1977. He was part of the team that took the field in Adelaide City's first-ever NSL match, helping lay the foundations for what would become one of Australia's most successful football clubs.

To see a long-time Adelaide City family collect the major prize during the Club's 80th year made the moment even more meaningful.
