Adelaide City continued its impressive run of form on Friday night, recording a convincing 3-0 victory over Adelaide Jaguars at West Beach Parks Football Centre in Round 14 of the Apex Steel Women's State League.
The result extends City's winning streak to six matches and keeps the Black and Whites firmly in the title race, sitting second on the ladder and just three points behind leaders Sturt Lions ahead of next week's top-of-the-table clash.

Facing a Jaguars side that had proven difficult opponents earlier in the season, City produced another composed performance built on defensive discipline and clinical finishing.
The breakthrough arrived in the 32nd minute when Millie Scott converted from the penalty spot to give the visitors a deserved lead. City controlled much of the opening half and took that advantage into the break.
The match remained finely balanced after halftime, with City holding a slender one-goal advantage. Head Coach Paul Morris proved decisive with his changes, introducing Yasmina Kasumovic from the bench as the Black and Whites searched for a second goal.

The tactical switch paid immediate dividends. Kasumovic made a significant impact after entering the contest, scoring twice in the space of two minutes to put the result beyond doubt. Her first arrived in the 69th minute before she struck again just moments later in the 71st minute, capping a match-winning cameo and sealing an impressive 3-0 victory for City.
At the other end, Lauren Paterson and City's defensive unit once again stood tall, recording another clean sheet and ensuring the Black and Whites remained in complete control throughout the evening.
The result moves Adelaide City to 32 points from 13 matches, with the side now preparing for a huge encounter against league leaders Sturt Lions on Friday night.
A victory next week would see City close the gap at the top of the table and further strengthen its push towards the Women's State League Premiership.
