Adelaide City has moved to the top of the Apex Steel Women’s State League following a dominant 4-0 win over Modbury Jets at Oakden on Friday night.
A brace from Millie Scott as well as goals from Nakita Pereira and substitute Mawa Sumaoro helped increase City’s winning streak to five games and are now unbeaten in 10.
Black and Whites Head Coach Paul Morris made the one alteration to his starting line-up with Kiara O’Sullivan replacing Sara Di Stefano.

Pereira opened the scoring for the second straight week to notch her third goal of the season in the seventh minute.
Moments later, Scott found the back of the net for a fifth consecutive game as her blistering form in front of goal continued.
The contest was put to bed when Scott slotted her second of the evening and her ninth of the campaign. The attacker has netted seven goals in her previous five fixtures including back-to-back doubles.
Sumaoro then scored off the bench on 87 minutes to seal a comfortable victory as the Oakden-based club now move level on points (26) with Sturt Lions after their surprise 2-2 draw against Elizabeth Grove.
However, due to City’s superior goal difference (+22) to Sturt’s +17 they currently sit at the summit.
