Another big week of football for Adelaide City delivered league titles, Grand Final qualification and plenty of strong results across the senior and junior programs.

At senior level, the NPL side booked its place in the 2026 RAA NPL Grand Final with an emphatic 6-0 victory over Playford City at Adelaide City Park. The result sends City into this Friday night’s Grand Final against WT Birkalla at ServiceFM Stadium, with another piece of silverware on the line.

The NPL Under 18s also finished their finals campaign on a positive note, defeating Campbelltown City 2-1 in the second leg of their Semi Final. However, the result was not enough to overturn the first-leg deficit, with Campbelltown progressing 4-2 on aggregate.

Across the junior program, the Under 13 YSL Black were crowned League Champions on Sunday following a 3-2 victory over MetroStars, adding another piece of silverware to an outstanding season across the club’s junior ranks.

The Under 14 YSL Black also completed their season as Cup and League winners, having already secured the Carl’s Jr. Youth State Cup before going on to claim the league title and complete a memorable double.

There is still more silverware to play for, with the Under 13, Under 14 and Under 15 YPL Boys all progressing to their respective Grand Finals following victories on Sunday. The Under 13s defeated WT Birkalla 5-2, the Under 14s recorded a 2-0 win over Adelaide Croatia Raiders and the Under 15s produced an impressive 4-0 victory away to Campbelltown City.

The Under 12 YPL Girls also capped off an excellent 2026 campaign, finishing second on the YPL ladder and as Cup winners this season, while the Under 12 YSL Red/White finished their campaign with an 8-3 victory over WT Birkalla to seal second place.

Sunday’s football also fell on Father’s Day, providing another opportunity to recognise all the dads, grandfathers and father figures who give their time each week to support our players, teams and club. Whether coaching, volunteering, driving to training and matches or cheering from the sidelines, thank you for everything you do for the Black and White family.

It was a particularly strong weekend for our YPL Boys, with the Under 13, Under 14 and Under 15 teams all booking their places in their respective Grand Finals. We wish all three teams the very best as they look to finish their finals campaigns with silverware.

Commiserations also go to our Under 16 YPL Girls, whose excellent finals run came to an end against Adelaide Jaguars in Sunday’s Grand Final. Reaching the season decider is an achievement the players and coaching staff can be proud of and caps off a strong year for the team.

There was plenty to celebrate beyond the finals as well. Congratulations to our Under 13 YSL Black League Champions, our Under 14 YSL Black Cup and League double winners, the Under 12 YPL Girls on finishing second and winning their Cup, and the Under 12 YSL Red/White side on securing second place.

There is still plenty to play for across the club, with the three YPL Boys teams preparing for their Grand Finals and our NPL Seniors set to take centre stage on Friday night.

Adelaide City will face WT Birkalla in the 2026 RAA NPL Grand Final this Friday night at ServiceFM Stadium, with the Black and Whites looking to add the Championship to the Premiership secured earlier this season.

With Grand Finals across our senior and junior programs still to come, there is plenty for the Black and White family to look forward to as the 2026 season reaches its biggest stage.
